REVIEW: Bath & Body Works' New Scent Country Chic + COUPON GIVEAWAY!

I was so excited to spend my Bath & Body Works gift card yesterday and while I was at the store, I decided to try their new scent called Country Chic! I absolutely love it and recommend it to all of you! When the lady saw me try it in the store she told me that it was basically a light Spring scent. On the website, Country Chic is described as being "an effortlessly sexy blend of sparkling lemon, bright wildflowers, and spring woods inspired by the fresh air and natural beauty of America's countryside." I think this is a pretty accurate description; the smell does remind me a lot of the country side because I feel like there is a lot of honey suckle in it. It changes a lot when it is on your skin though and I think you can tell what its changing notes are. Initially it smells like it has a bit of a citrus to it but then it settles to a calmer woodsier scent. May I also add that I think the packaging of the products is adorable!!

I almost think that this scent is very similar to the original Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum so yay for a cheap dupe! The Juicy Couture perfume in a 1.7 oz bottle costs $64.19 whereas the Bath & Body Works 8 fl oz Fragrance Mist costs $12. You would have to spray a lot of the Bath & Body Works fragrance mist to make it as strong as the Juicy Couture perfume though because the scent is light after a while and fades a bit.
All in all, I love this scent and truly do think it is perfect for Spring! I kind of want to go back and buy the Shea Cashmere Hand Cream in this scent when it comes out! Country Chic is still relatively new so for a limited short time, the 2 oz body lotion costs $1 and the 3 fl oz body mist costs $2! I have absolutely no idea when this offer ends so go get it now! lol

Coupon Giveaway!!
Okay so as of right now, I own two of the same Bath & Body Works coupons so I want to give one away to one of my lovely followers!! This contest will end April 8th! With this coupon, you get one free signature collection item of your choice (up to $12 value) from Bath & Body Works with any purchase of $10 or more! The coupon is valid for use from April 15th to May 8th!  This is a great way to build up your collection of full-sized products from Bath & Body Works that will last you a really long time! All you have to do to enter this contest is be a follower of my blog and leave a comment telling me what your favorite Bath & Body Works scent is or what your favorite Spring scent is! You must reside in either the US or Canada though (sorry)! I will use random.org to choose a winner! Best of luck to all of you!

How To Get Big Bold Beachy Waves!

I have always loved the way relaxed wavy hair looked but was never achieve it because of my thick pin straight hair. I have found a way that works for me and wanted to share it with you all! Last summer at a camp, my roommate pulled out this huge hair iron that I had never seen before. It was a 3 barrel iron and made her hair gorgeously wavy. I asked her if I could try it and loved the way my hair turned out! I went to Target last week and saw one just like it and it only cost $23! Here is a picture of it. It is the Revlon Perfect Heat Ceramic 3-Barrel Jumbo Waver.

How to use: It opens up and you put a few strands of hair between the plate and the barrels. When you push down on the handle, the barrels will compress your hair and make it wavy! The barrels are 1-inch barrels and are the perfect size!

When I first saw this, I thought it was going to work by wrapping your hair around the different barrels or something but it is actually very easy to use! You might even be able to use it as a curling iron and curl two pieces of hair at once! This product comes with a dial of 30 heat options and heats up in 30 seconds. The only bad thing about it is that is a little big so it might be annoying to travel with. However, it comes with a ring on the back of it so you can clamp the handle down and it will take up less room.

After I use the iron, I like to finish off my hair with the Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Hairspray! This is in the scent Sunset Citrus and only costs $3.59. It totally reminds me of the beach! I wish I could spray this all over my body as a perfume because I love the smell! It smells like a mix of oranges and peaches! This hairspray is perfect because it holds the hair in place but doesn't make it all that crunchy if you don't concentrate it in one area.

Let me know your secret for achieving big and bold beachy waves!

Birthday OOTD and Prom Update!

Today has been an awesome day! It is my birthday today and all of my friends have been so incredibly nice. My friend, Andy got up in front of class and played "Happy Birthday" for me on his violin! Here is my outfit that I'm wearing on my birthday! It is my floral dress that I showed in my Belk haul! I got a lot of compliments on it and on my necklace! It is a golden locket that my dad gave me two years ago.

ALSO, today I got asked to Prom!!!! :) It was so cute. My friend, Bethany, blind folded me with her hand and walked me to the side of our school building. Andy was walking in front of us and telling me to walk faster because I hate being blind folded. haha He read a letter to me that he wrote and after he finished Bethany unblinded me and I looked at the grass and there was a heart of origami figures. However, as soon as I saw it, the wind started blowing and blew it away. lol I recreated the heart in this picture so you all could see!

I hope you are having as good of a day as I am!!

My Birthday Party OOTD and Gifts!

Hey everyone! Today was the greatest day ever!! My birthday is in 4 days and since I will be out of town next weekend, I had an early birthday party! It was soo much fun and I really enjoyed my friend's company. Here is what I got from my friends and my parents. [Special shout out to my friend Jon because I know you read my blog! Thanks for letting me know you read my Scentbug post today! :) ]

Oh! First I will show you what I wore for my party! The dress is from Body Central and I am wearing silver rose earrings from the brand Arizona Jeans which are sold at JcPenney.

The first like 5 presents I opened were Bath & Body Works. I was like "Oh gosh are all of my presents going to be from there?" lol Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that store so I was psyched to receive these presents! Here is what I got:

This is an Aromatherapy Spa Reed Diffuser from Yankee Candle! It was my first present that I opened that didn't require a flame. haha I am excited to use it because it is designed to relax you! [Also, look at what a great decorating piece it would make! :) ]

This is another candle that I received! It is the blue portion on the top! Underneath are sea shells and blue sand! I think this is gorgeous and have it sitting on my dresser right now! My friend got this from his trip to Destin, Florida!

This is the Britney Spears Perfume Set that I received from my mom! I am a perfume fanatic so I was super excited when I saw these! It came with .33 fl oz of each fragrance. From left to right: Circus Fantasy, Believe, Curious, and Fantasy.

I was so excited by this present!! I have never bought anything from Burt's Bees before but have always been eyeing their products! Look at how many I received in this one packet! It came with Almond Milk Hand Creme, Buttermilk Lotion, Beeswax & Banana Hand Creme, Hand Salve, Milk & Honey Body Lotion, Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme, Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme, and Coconut Foot Creme.

This is a picture of a gorgeous necklace and bracelet that I received from my friend! I think he got it when he was in San Antonio, Texas. You can't really tell in the picture but the jewelry has blue stones on it.

I hope you liked this post! Have a wonderful week!
